Your Nearest Pop in Centre

Pop In Centres are the Legion's new High Street presence. Each centre offers a welcoming space for Service personnel, veterans and their families to get practical help and advice. You will also find representatives from Combat Stress and RFEA in some of the centres to help with your questions or needs.
Members of the public can find out about the wide range of services and community activities provided by the Legion.
A new community outreach service in the form of 'Drop-in centres' is available in areas where there is known demand. You can find these at local meeting points such as libraries, Legion branches or community centres at certain times of the week. Call our freephone number or use our Legion location finder to find the one nearest to you.

The aim of Army Welfare Service (AWS) Personal Support is to help serving married and single personnel and families with any personal or family difficulties that arise, by providing a confidential, comprehensive and professional welfare service.  They can provide support with the following issues:

Relationship difficulties
CSA concerns
Parenting skills
Child care
Special Needs
Benefits information
Equal Opportunities issues
Casualty Support

The AWS has a branch in Woolwich located next to the Welfare Office, opposite Upper Gun Park. The entrance is to the right hand side of the Welfare Office.  The AWS is outside of the Chain of Command and can be approached directly.  If you need to use this service an appointment can be made by calling  The IAT Team can be contacted on 01904 882053 The AWS operates a strict confidentiality policy in accordance with legal requirements.  No personal information will be passed to anyone outside of AWS without the persons consent.
